I am not sure where it is in the process. Do you have any idea how far before delivery that trucks will arrive on average?
Not to burst your bubble but I was told Wednesay the truck would be there and I would be able to take delivery on Friday….but once it got to the dealership and I did not see the option to schedule delivery I called…. It was then that I was informed about the hold. Apparently even the dealership doesn’t know about the hold until it arrives at the their location….at least that is what happened to me. ( I ordered mine Dec 31st.)

Thanks for the heads up. No bubble burst. Just sharing what I was told. You could be right though.

I am not sure if it matters, but I was able to schedule my delivery yesterday afternoon for Monday at 11 a.m. ? I'll share my outcome either way.

Take this for what it's worth, there's a post from another section of the forum that says his July 2024 build needs a replacement HV battery.

Hard to figure out how far back the battery issue goes.

It's at least December as thats what is reported, but seeing posts about battery replacement for July build is concerning regarding potential delay for new buyers taking delivery.

I'm sure Tesla will get this sorted out. It's frustrating to wait, I appreciate they are taking care of it.

On a side note, as I was looking online for any battery information. I saw a couple news articles of Cybertrucks that caught fire in the dealership lots recently. Two different trucks at different locations. Makes me wonder if this battery issue is more significant or totally unrelated.

The one in Georgia was arson. Not sure about the other as I haven't heard about it.

so i got a random phone call from a delivery center in indiana, i'm in florida. they were asking about a model y, which I have been getting since i inquired about a trade in lol. anyways.

i asked him how they are handling the cybertruck issue. he said that they are doing a quick inspection and they have been releasing them. he said so far they haven't seen any problems. i really don't think it's going to be much of an issue and should start seeing more deliveries in the coming week.

hopefully i hear something soon, my local delivery location doesn't do service so they have to transport mine first.

this topic came up on facebook yesterday, too. a guy on there said he was given the all clear and taking delivery this weekend after having the same hold. might be BS, idk.

Let’s see what happens. I think those that have deliveries scheduled for Monday will likely get pushed once the vehicle arrives and they start the Qa process. That’s when the hold typically occurs

I picked up an inventory 2024 earlier this month in US and have a service appointment I booked to address some issues noted during delivery and they assigned a loaner car to me as it will take a day.

The service ticket only has 2 of the items I requested and they did not add anything about the HV battery yet.

Will update if I get any more info.
I just picked up my truck from service for the items I requested. They did not add any other service items, so nothing related to HV battery.

Have no idea whether it means my truck is not impacted or they just haven’t gotten to mine.
I picked up my truck from inventory and has a 9/24 date on the door jamb with VIN in the 35k range.

At least they didn’t confiscated my truck — not sure that’s a good or bad thing ?

I was informed at 9am this morning, I can pickup my truck tomorrow at noon. It was put on hold last Thursday, was a little frustrating with lack of information.

That’s great news. Is yours a 25? Were you on the same battery hold?
Mine is a 24 and all they told me is it was a software issue affecting all new CT delivery’s.

I don't mind waiting as long as it doesn't affect the final financials, i.e. $7,500 going away (lease) or a reduced value on my MYP. With Juniper coming soon, I am worried my current MYP will take a hit.
I Heard mention on my morning commute news blip, used car market very well could see some spikes with the qty of vehicles needing to be replaced in Southern California

Terrible thing, of course…but I’d imagine you’re going to be selling during a time a lot of model ys are needing to be replaced. Something to consider.
