It's the start of a new revolution, with the Cybercab (aka robotaxi) coming out next month based off the CT design this new paradigm will become commonplace.
I’m hoping! I want to have a fleet of cyber Robotaxis, driving people around and making me money. ?

Q1 2024: Ford's electric vehicle unit reported a loss of $132,000 per vehicle for the first quarter of 2024, or $1.3 billion total.
Well, the fewer they sell the bigger the "loss" per vehicle. That's a bogus number. The important question is: What are their operating margins? Reducing production is not the path toward profitability. You have to get your production costs in line, achieve positive operating margins and then sell enough of them to cover your initial investment.

Self driving when it comes! Tesla had no problem cashing our checks and GM already had it out… what’s the problem? JJ
Have you used GMs self driving, it’s a joke compared to Tesla, when I was in the EV Hummer I was terrified the whole time. In my model S I’ve thought about almost going to sleep, it was so reliable, almost. I can’t sleep when others are driving.

What about just regular F-150s. That’s what we are shooting for here, no one thought the truck wouldn’t out sell other EV trucks.

This goes to show that design is everything. Ford and their old way of thinking is never going to outsell the CT no matter how much better they claim it is. The CT is a talking piece every where you go and that’s what we owners want.

Why would people that hate EVs buy an EV? The only comparable is the Lightning.

Actually, a lot of people were predicting that more traditional looking EV pickups from Ford and GM would outsell the Cybertruck. They were wrong, but that didn't stop them from being adamant that such a radical looking truck would never have a bigger market than "normal" looking trucks, because truck buyers, they said, are very traditional. They also said that Ford and Rivian had the first mover advantage in the EV truck market and the Cybertruck could never hope to overcome that.

Yes, they were wrong. It was obvious to me at the time they were wrong, but they would have none of it.

Gonna need A LOT more Cybertruck sales to catch the regular F-150 lol. The gas & hybrid F-150s are at 65-70K units sold per month! ?

Literally the best vehicle I've ever owned.
- Most fun
- Very quiet
- Capable
- DOG MODE!
- Amazing ride
- Distinctive
- Durable
- FASTER than any vehicle I've ever owned (and I"ve owned 2x Porsche and others)
- SAFE
- AMAZING sound system
- Self driving (when it comes)
Same. Owned a tricked out Tacoma and X3 before this. It’s like they merged the two and made my perfect vehicle. Everyone has different use cases, but I can ensure you, all the haters haven’t been behind the yoke.

I agree with you 1,000 % but you missed some of the first comments by critics ( some still using same criticisms).

1. Nobody would want a Cybertruck
2. Tesla could not make the Cybertruck
3. Elon was scamming everybody and had no intention of making the Cybertruck

Also I am highly disappointed that engineering guru, Sandy Munro, is still claiming (continually since Nov2019) that Cybertruck is not a work truck yet somehow Ford Lightning is a great work truck.

Yeah, the idea that the Cybertruck is not a work truck is kind of baffling, until you consider that the people making such statements are either judging the book by it's cover or they are simply looking at the who comprises the bulk of the current Cybertruck reservation list. They fail to consider that when the truck gets more exposure out in the wild, and more non-Tesla fans see what a durable and capable truck it actually is, more and more people will adopt it as a work truck. Currently, the common wisdom is that it's a terrible vehicle, not suitable or reliable enough to use as a work truck. But that is just FUD based on almost nothing.

The other thing necessary for wide adoption as a work truck is the expected lowering of prices. Most business owners don't need extreme off-road capability, acceleration matching many million dollar supercars or a stereo to die for (their employees might just pull over and tune out, LOL!). But when Tesla can offer the same truck for a much lower price, it will be a no-brainer as a work truck.
