Hello, Current 2018 F-150 Leaseholder. Was wondering, does anyone know if there will be a lease option for the CyberTruck? My Lease with Ford is about $500 a month and I ordered the Dual motor since I live in Northern Michigan.

3.0-3.75% Financing puts it over $750 a month for 6 years. Sure I can do that, but I'd rather keep it the same and also save on gas. ( Cake and eat it too ).

First post, love the Cybertruck, many around me hate it, actually other than my fiance, we are the only people that actually like it in my city. ( Redneck town ).

Welcome to the site. Fellow F-150 owner here and many truck guys I know hate the Cybertruck too. But I think they're all just secretly threatened by it.

I'm sure there'll be a lease option for the Cybertruck just like there's been lease options for all Tesla models so far. From what I've seen, residuals on Teslas have traditionally been pretty good, so hopefully this will mean some nice lease figures.

I've always purchased but I may lease the Cybertruck since it's an EV. We all have a couple years to decide at least :)

Thanks Old Spice,

I hope you're right on the Leasing.

Future Brother in Law said it's not a truck and it's ugly, he owns a 2006 F-150.

Tried to explain it's better than an ordinary truck and he just said it's ugly.

Think it's either jealousy or too scared to try new things, maybe both

If what I've seen from Elon is true then they aren't going to allow end of lease purchases. They want the cars back at the end of leases to add to their RoboTaxi service. They are expecting the batteries to last 500k - 1 million miles depending on the technology they use in the batteries.

From what I’ve read on Tesla lease terms, they do not allow end of lease purchase

It varies. But since they've had the FSD hardware, generally no. The rumored idea is that means once FSD is out of Beta, they'll have a supply of cars on hand to transition to automated rentals.

That's really rich considering he drives this:

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck lease? 1709326884140

I'm going to guess he's not your future brother-in-law anymore, how did I do?

Oh, and that he got rid of that ugly 2006 F-150!

I doubt they will let CT on lease anytime soon. May be after most reservations are exhausted….

leasing is a bad decision for so many ways unless you are a business
Maybe not if you like having a new car every 2-3 years. I have a couple of buddies who do that with their BMWs and they’re always stoked to have the newest version. Different strokes….

personally I like wearing vehicles out…. Haha

I leased my last vehicle because I needed something right away but didn't want to keep it long-term.

Car is a lifestyle product - it’s not a financial decision.

BTW, saying leasing doesn’t make financial sense is laughable. It all depends on the terms, MF etc.

Says some with a model S and a Perf 3.

A used to Toyota Camry is a financial decision would look like ;)

BTW, Cash vs finance vs lease is a financial decision. I’ve done all 3 several times - depending on the circumstance, they were all good financial decisions.
