Just wondering if there is any other practical usage if I don’t do off-roading? I like the look, but I am debating should I install it if I don’t do off roading. It probably hurt the efficiency a bit.
Our CT do 75% driving off road but if you have no use for lot of CT owners will buy from you in year or two.

Work light. Not really on-road use, but useful for folk who don't go off-road still. I wonder what it does to the range.

Sounds like Cyberbeast owners will get it for free and be the first to receive. Then dual motor AWD owners will be able to purchase next. At least that’s what it sounds like to me. Anyone know anything more than this?

It would light up an area at night, when the vehicle is still. Turn on the boombox, don't forget the fridge full of colds ones and instant party!! (Hopefully with others attending)

FS AWD here, I can’t wait for this to be available to order.

Will go a long way to burning up my voucher, haha!!

I know I’ve still got a wait on my hands, as the CB folks need to get theirs first.

I saw a mention that this is a permanent install at a service center only, as its installed using a urethane glue?
That's correct. It is in no way a "quick release" or anything like that, but I wouldn't call it truly permanent either as it's bonded to the glass with a glue that is removable with effort.

Legally speaking, not really any reason to get it for on road use beyond looks as you will get ticketed for running it, even in the day, on a public roadway. Ask me how I know this ?

I already blew through my voucher! But if it comes in cheaper than the T Sportline with quick disconnect, then I'm going for it too! I like the look of both styles--mounted over vs the integrated look.

I‘m Team Tesla on the lightbar, haha!! I didn’t realize that you’d be able to control the brightness from the UI.

And did you notice in the off-road mode video they mentioned “Ditch lights”?? Interesting!!

He does mention brightness, but the screens don't show anything about it. Are you sure he's not referring to simply which lights are on/off? But if brightness control is coming, definitely worth it!!

Yeah, who knows. This is like decoding a Musk tweet, haha!!

He says, “We can control the main light, the ditch light, all the brightness directly on the UI”

I agree there’s no indication of a brightness control on the UI shown in the video.

Now I really can’t wait for it to drop, haha!!

I hope the lighter has a low light song that can be used for esthetic purposes to match the DRL coolness day and night… that should be easy to do and would increase adoption by non off road people… hopefully someone at Tesla is reading this ?
Well this will give you hope. I saw on a video ,looked to be produced by Tesla, somewhere on X or YouTube explaining the off road modes and they talked a little about the lightbar. They said you would be able to control the pitch of the lights and brightness via software panel on main screen.

Siddhant Awasthi, the Cybertruck Vehicle Program Manager, confirmed today on Xthat the offroad lightbar is coming soon.

Awasthi also pointed out that Cyberbeast customers will receive it first, most likely followed by dual-motor AWD owners. While he didn’t specify a date, soon is as good news as any.

I am so excited I can die of heart attack.

Imagine off road lightbar is now added to the list of our Waiting for Godot. There's the FSD, wheel cover, correcting and being better on ________ (too many so just fill in the blanks here with your issues or wish list).
