You’re gonna laugh at what we’ve done: we use a label maker and label the other person’s keycard lol.
We did that too when we first got our MYLRs in 2020. Live and learn, haha!!

This post did me no favors today. Way too expensive but, being the wife's truck, I'm sure she will love it.

On the store this says it is not compatible with other Tesla's - sounds like bull to me. It is just a generic RFID?

Correct. Most of these rings are made by taking actual Tesla cards and melting down the plastic with acetone. That was the old way to do it.

The warning was because when these rings were first being produced the model S and model X did not have the ability to use key cards and therefore these rings. S and X have since been updated and, of course, the CT uses RFID. They just haven’t updated this copy.

These work on all of my cars and each one is programmed for all cars.

Pretty cheap. Have you priced replacement key fobs recently?
Nope, but I trust ya. Hard to find anything with a decent price these days.

I’m thinking it’s just sales-limited to Cybertruck owners, it’s more than likely compatible with other Teslas. When I get them, I’ll be using one on my 3s as well.

Yea, it says something like ‘not compatible with any vehicles on your account’ if you try to order one without owning a Cybertruck.

Yep - the cards.
Yep. I just saw it. Sorry I misunderstood. But I agree with @Black306, I’m sure this is just a restriction on who can purchase, not how the card works. It’s just generic RFID, like you said.
