Just wanted to post in case anyone else was having issues. I came home one day and found that my wall charger would not charge my truck. It would charge my wife’s Model X just fine.

Did all the standard troubleshooting, to include soft and hard resets. Interesting that it would charge when I brought it to a local ChargePoint (we don’t have any Superchargers near us).

Tesla sent a tow truck and picked it up the next morning. It ended up being the high voltage connector header plug that they needed to order.

Still in the shop but hope this fixes it!

AACK! I have the same trouble. Wall connector will charge my M3 but not my CT. I tried a random selection of wall connectors and some work, some not. Hmmm. I will have my truck in for service next week, will include this strange problem. Thanks for the advice!! Mac

Same issue last week, model Y charged no problem, CT did not, red flashing light on home charger….CT also did not charge at Supercharger , had enough battery to make it to a service center…they replaced the Power Conversion System. Great service and they got me in on short notice.

Troubleshot the gen 3 charger in the garage, Tesla was able to login and determine it was overheating with the truck…it’s still under warranty and they are sending me a replacement charger. CT is currently charging again with my current gen 3.

That’s interesting. I wonder if I should check the Gen 3 charger. Haven’t had any issues with either car since we purchased at beginning of the year.

How did you contact them and receive a response?

Thanks for posting, something to keep an eye on. Haven’t had any problem myself. Have the Gen 3 for over a year now, no issues with MS charging since, will be a year without issues for my CT next month. Running a 60A breaker on about 15 foot 6AWG from panel. I’m always charging at max of 48A for CT and no overheating noticed on the charger (knock on wood). BTW if you want (or see) installer configs on your charger, use Tesla One app, it’s what installers use to initialize the charger.
