It can only match signs it recognizes, otherwise it uses map data and lane width clues.Crissa - Could you please explain why the poor reading of signs is related to bad patents as opposed to bad hardware/programming? My CT still wants to go 55 in our local school zone (which has multiple physical 15 mph signs). ??
It cannot apply optical character recognition to signs as that 'concept' is patented. There's several approaches that are patented in different ways.
And the roads in Oregon and California are just better mapped.
