Reported today in “Not A Tesla App”

  • Vast majority of Tesla’s existing fleet will be capable of Unsupervised FSD
    • Elon specifically mentioned the Model S, 3, X, and Y
    • This is the fourth event (We, Robot, Q4 Earnings 2024, All-Hands, and Q1 Earnings 2025) without mention of the Cybertruck being capable, likely meaning that FSD development for the Cybertruck is further behind as we’ve seen.
    • End qoute

    • Will Cybertruck’s FSD ever match other Tesla?

The Cybertruck is already demonstrating unsupervised FSD capabilities at GigaAustin, but as well all know this is a well controlled environment.

Give us A.S.S. first, then we can move to unsupervised FSD.

I don’t think there’s any reason whatsoever to suppose that we’re not getting unsupervised. We’re clearly going to get it after everything else. Last night he said that the model Y is going to get it first. It seems like the Cybertruck will get it last. But you still call the guy who graduated last in his med school class “doctor!”

As others have said, this is probably a numbers problem that Tesla didn’t expect. With so few CT’s on the road there’s less driver data to rely on. Dojo will do a lot but even so I think this is our biggest problem.

I think this is directly related to the expansion of the early beta cohort.

They need to allow everyone to have free FSD. Not gonna pay $99 for something that doesn't autopark safely, and the fsd is what my model y was 2 years ago.

Yep, you’re right. I stand corrected not “no reason.” ?

I also still stand by my rant about how they’re definitely going to have to upgrade our hardware and Elon was quick to point out during the call that, “the cars you already have will will be robotaxis.” He’s not backing away from that at all.

What makes you think they will need new hardware?

It's the HW3 vehicles that will be upgraded.... that's how l remember the commentary. Apparently not many in that class took up the FSD option. ‼ In Australia, it was $10,100 when l last checked ....

I think to better contribute more data Tesla should resume giving free trial FSDs again to CTs. To those subscribing, this would be awesome, to those who bought it, maybe some shop credit.

I agree - there should be some reward for contributing FSD data. Discount / credit for sharing various levels of detail; some reward for leaving a voice note when disconnecting. Maybe free as long as you contribute at least 2x per month?

It doesn't matter if you are using FSD or not. It still runs in the background... Sort of just seeing if it predicts what to do next correctly and then reporting issues/findings.

That would be a good idea, that said there are 10,000+ foundations driving around out there with free FSD so the % of CTs with FSD have to be way higher than the other models.
