Wahoo...what a master class in salesmanship, haha!! Wow!!

1. Create an urgent issue: This is a massive problem in Austin!! This isn't stainless steel, it's a Space X product that was NEVER tested for cosmetics!! It's non-stainless stainless steel I tells ya!! It won't hold up!! Yes, I know Telsa did lots of environmental testing on the non-stainless stainless steel during development, like they (and every car manufacturer) does whenever they have a new paint or exterior trim. But Tesla doesn't know what they're doing!! They got duped by Space X!!

2. Show how others have tried and failed: Telsa has worked with FIFTY!! different detailing companies and NOT ONE has been able to solve this MASSIVE problem!!

3. But wait, there's hope!!: Tesla has now found me and our MIRACLE product. ONLY OUR miracle product can protect this non-stainless stainless steel from utter destruction!!

4. Customer: Can I get this miracle product for my CT??: You came to us JUST IN TIME!! Had you waited any longer, I would have to charge you EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS like the poor customer right before you. But, dear customer, you're in luck!! Our skilled technicians have determined that we can save your non-stainless stainless steel from utter destruction for only $2,500!! You're saving $5,500!! But only if you act NOW!! Don't wait!!

5. Customer: What about wrapping? I see tons of CT's wrapped and they look great, shouldn't I just do that?: What?? Are you crazy?!? The adhesive on those wraps will DESTROY the non-stainless stainless steel...what was that, dear customer? Telsa offers wraps for the CT? Even Franz has his CT wrapped in Satin Black? Pish-posh and balderdash!! Do you think Franz paid for that CT?? Do you know how much stock that guy owns?!? He wants your CT's non-stainless stainless steel destroyed so you'll have to buy another CT!! It's a classic money grab!! Don't be fooled!! Only our MIRACLE PRODUCT can save your CT's non-stainless stainless steel from being destroyed!!

6. Customer: But what about all the folks who are using $3 cans of SprayWay, Costco microfibers, and about 15 minutes of their time to keep their stainless looking good?? This interview is over!!

This is aimed squarely at the dealer, nothing against the OP. People can and should spend their $$ on what makes them feel right. I'm just always impressed by good salesmanship (probably because I was never any good at it, haha!!).

And watch the OP have the last laugh when all of our stainless panels start dissolving in a few years!!
lol, I caught on to all that as well but didn’t have time to put it into words so awesomely as you did!!

Trust me I had the same feeling during the conversation but after only 2 weeks with the truck I 100% noticed that the fingerprints never really got removed and were such a pain in the ass to deal with as I have little kids. For me it's peace of mind knowing that my $100k truck won't rust and can be washed like my model 3. I've only had it on for a week and the ease of doing a quick dry wash with there cleaner is already paying off. I don't have to be that annoying CT owner telling everyone to stop touching the truck. Also, if you look into the guy he is a top detailer with over 40 years in the business.

IF the reapply is $2500 I'm out. The original photos in this thread, make the prep job look fantastic. It makes it really tempting, when most raw Cybertrucks are rolling around with miss matched shade on various panels, and that one looks wrapped or something. But the reapply would need to be DIY friendly, and reasonably priced, for this to be worth it. Otherwise vinyl wraps every few years make more sense. Again black or white satin wraps are simply stunning on these trucks. Oh, and that one Ironman red one, if subtlety is more your style.
This coating is permanent, no reapply needed. That's why I went for it. It's cheaper than a wrap that only lasts a couple years.

There is no reapply needed on the CT. It's permanent. And if I bring it in annually they'll detail it.

Understood my friend!!

One of the many things I love about the CT is that it's one of the few vehicles that's truly a 'blank slate':

- Leave it raw stainless and never clean it? Cool.
- Protectaclear? Cool.
- Revivify Graphine? Cool.
- Vinyl? Cool.
- PPF? Cool.
- SprayWay and microfibers? Cool.
- 24k Gold Plating? Umm?? (haha!!)

May all of our CT's be Critical Error free, haha!!
