Everyone got to experience it yesterday. :)

Even in the GTA sports cars get insurance put on hold and go into storage till spring while the owners pick up a cheap "winter beater" to drive around during the snowy months.

Born in California, I went to high school in Washington, university in Arizona, childhood in Oregon, so I've been all over the west. I've lived in the mountains, on the beach, in the 'burbs, in small towns, big towns, and the city. In rainforest, dunes, high desert, and now redwoods. My spouse likes Santa Cruz, she moved here for the university, so that's where we live ^-^

I'm confused, are you saying in Northern areas you prefer to drive cars with no ground clearance in the winter?

Yeah, cold isn't the only measure of severity. A place with more humidity will have worse winter weather.

very true. the cold feels colder. but it doesn't make 2 centimeters of snow an emergency. up here we call that a light dusting.

Two centimeters of fluffy snow? Two centimeters of hard ice, on the other hand, is a bit more of a problem.
