Why are you disappointed? I think its actually too big, a 5' or 5'6" bed is perfect. 6' is just too long.

For my brothers golf clubs and lifestyle, absolutely. But not if you actually do truck things on a regular basis.

I use my 8’ bed RAM 350 for work and will probably have to bypass my extremely early Cybrtrk order (RN112753775). With a Tommy Gate power lift gate my bed is extended another 10”. I love being able to carry 8’ lumber with the tail gate up or up to 16’ lumber with both sections of the Tommy Gate down to support the lumber. I was hoping for a work truck.

I don’t think the bed length has ever changed. We’re you expecting something different when you reserved it? You obviously did that right after Elon said go. That is an early number, right behind mine.

I love the looks of the CyberTruck but am disappointed that he made it a little smaller than the original prototype that I've seen at Peterson Automotive Museum, that one was the perfect size as far as I'm concerned.

Bed size and functionality is so very subjective to the use. If your a landscaper for example and need to haul a pallet full of pavers, a 5.5-6' bed might do very well with the 3500lb cargo capacity. If your job is a dry waller, then not so much. There is no perfect one size fits all bed length for trucks. Tesla had to start at some place with their first offering and they chose to meet the most in demand bed length so I see nothing wrong with that. I will say I am not so sure the styling would be very conducive to an eventual 8' bed option down the road several years from now.... However, I could see an even smaller bed for both US and overseas markets.

At no point was the Cybertruck offered with an 8' bed?

Here is a screen shot from Ford.com spec page for the F-250 Super Duty truck. Two boxes/beds and the short one (like in the comparison photo) is 6.75 ft long, about 15 inches longer than the CT's vault (at the floor).

I'm confused about how a 6.75' floor could be 15" longer than a 6+' floor.

I assumed a 5.5' vault floor when I made that comment. I looked at various estimates (including mine) made by people who were looking at photos and arrived at that value. I must have missed a higher probability estimate if your 6+' is more accurate/likely, Crissa. Is that the case? I hope so!

If it’s the size of my Tacoma with a 6’ bed it will be perfect for me. I don’t need an American size truck. I do prefer at least 6’ for what I do.
