Don't make their job to easy for them...you already wrote three full articles for them with that. ;)
Well, he'll need to add some pictures of the CT earlier builds with panel gaps. Because panel gaps early in the process proves that EVs are bad for the environment. Maybe add the fact that discounts prove Tesla is on the way out.

Did the driver get Uber credits from the service center?

First one I've seen with what looked like a round steering wheel.

I got banned for saying the last cybertruck on a tow truck was broken down.

So this is clearly them certifying it's good to go! =)

Pointless if you don't have an instrument cluster behind it though.
I can put my cell phone or IPad there, displaying ODB-II or Netflix content. But even with nothing there it looks much cleaner and more peaceful to me than a disfigured (square) steering wheel. To be frank, the feeling of flying is built into Yoke and that makes it a different experience.

Netflix on your phone on the dash?

I don't want to hear of another driver who was watching movies smashing into a sky-colored truck.

I would be watching Netflix while charging or when FSD is complete.

I may have ODB-II connected and check some stats like motor and battery temp while I am driving on occasions out of curiosity but that would not take any more attention off of the road than checking my speed.

Wouldn’t you need a data plan or monthly service (outside netflix) for that to work? With my iPad, I just download what I plan to watch at home and won’t worry about connectivity or paying yet another subscription fee. Of course if that service included, I am all for it.

You can either pay for data through Tesla (cheaper than my phone) or put your car on your phone's hotspot. Some charging points have their own wifi as well.

I watch Netflix all the time on our long trips to the big smoke, by putting my tablet on the dashboard. Works well if you have spawned sentient beings with NI that have learnt how to drive properly. ?

Honestly though the Tesla screen is pretty limited in functionality both whilst driving and whilst stationary. Sure it's better than most cars, but still not as good as a common phone or tablet in functionality. It really needs to have a apps section, that can then be locked out for driving, like Android Carplay. I hope they do this for the camper builders etc, to integrate their functions into the main screen, like many other manufactures are doing now too.

For example there is only a tiny bar under the drive gear indicator to indicate throttle position, and there is no real time power display option for the dash part of the screen, so you can have it at the same time as the nav.

Also the navigation map never caches, and you can't force, nor will it pre-load an area that doesn't have reception. Maps in vector formats really don't take up much space at all, so having some cached for the area your in is a no brainer.

Even though I like decent size screens, (Looking at a 43" desktop right now) there is a upper limit to how useful they are if there are only so many elements you want to display on there at the same time, as to not distract the driver. Further having a large screen also becomes difficult to navigate on bumpy or unmade roads. That is why the essential controls are placed long the bottom edge so you can also grab the bottom of the screen to stabilise your hand to hit the right button.

Another thing is that the touch sensitivity of such screens is not that great if you have callused, broken or cut, or dry or aged skin. Which is often a day to day thing for trade people, especially those who use concrete or mortar on a daily basis. Obviously, gloves are also an major issue.

You do get used to finding the speed on the main screen, but as predicted it is far inferior to even the most basic HUD. If anything the HUD could also show the car and traffic part of the screen, and then superimpose directions when they come up. That way you could just always look forwards out of the front window and never have to refocus your eyes to the inside screen which takes half a second each way, and is fatiguing.

Sure you can set cruise control, but on our single lane roads, with ups and downs, and large road trains etc, we often end up only being able to use it on the long straight parts of our trip. Especially if we want to keep our average speed up. For the cruise you should also be able to set the min and max speeds, and then set a throttle range so that it has the ability to slow down for going up hills etc, to keep the motors running in the efficiency map hot-spot. I wonder though if FSD will be more fluid like a human driver.

Some buttons that you can map to functions, and a HUD would be a great upgrade, even if it's just a aftermarket update.
