If you're paying a shop to put it on, does it still need to be pre cut?

Really depends on the shop...some prefer pre-cut, others prefer bulk, others prefer that they don't work with materials they don't procure themselves...so it really depends on the shop.

No, they don’t care if it’s pre cut or not. I got precut because I was going to do it myself, but I don’t have the patience.

Patience . That would be the reason I hate to start a project this big.
