Why is each door 2 pieces then you get all the unsightly exposed silver corner edges? It appears from the pic that the magnet is able to bend along the bottom crease of the door why not the top? Would look much better and prevent dirt from accumulating where the two magnets meet on the door.

EDIT:Same thing for the rear panel is it just because shipping?
As stated previously, all the magnetic sheets have rounded edges to provide more surface area at the corners to prevent blowoff. We approached several different engineers about this issue, and all of them independently advised us to make the radius (curved) edges.

The crease of the Cybertruck stainless steel body is a much sharper angle at the top of the door than the bottom of the door, hence we had to make separate cuts to bridge those sharp angles. Our original prototype, which was one sheet for each door, resulted in smoothing out the Cybertruck's creases too much. It changed the look of the truck body and not in a flattering way. Also, the folding of the magnetic sheet over such a sharp crease left an open gap at the edges that could create an air pocket for wind to get in and blow off the entire panel.

I can update my magnet test, at the six month mark, but i saw no discoloration or corrosion after 3 months. love this idea.

what’s the total weight of the kit?
Any test helps us with the development of this product. Thanks!
The rough weight estimate is 130 pounds.

If you have samples I'm happy to throw them on my truck to see what happens during the rest of a nasty NJ winter with salt- and sand-strewn roads. One entrepreneur helping another...

Ok thanks for clarifying a lot of companies make compromises in design for shipping efficiency which I can understand.

I love this idea. I wrapped my CT in matte black but “only” in vinyl (not the thicker PPF). If you think the magnets will adhere to 8 mm PPF I would guess 4 mm vinyl should be no problem at all.

I can’t wait to order a set (and hopefully if the price comes down a bit over time) a couple of sets! Would love to have a matte stone gray color option, matte white color option, and a July 4 Independence Day option!

Great product and good luck on a launch…soon I hope!

Check out this it seems cool for quick changing up of style. But I wonder what others think? Would it cause rust marks? Have people seen any other companies doing this?

We hold a patent for this, so you won’t see it anywhere else unless it was a DIY. If properly used, it shouldn’t cause corrosion, and we are developing further anti-corrosion solutions to be applied with this product. We are conducting those tests right now.

I grossly underestimated the weight of the kit. After upgrading the thickness and energy of our magnetic sheets, we weighed it in at approximately 130 lbs or about 165 lbs shipped.
