See I actually really miss the plastic grocery bags because I saved them and always re-used the crap out of them. My supply is almost gone and I'll be forced to buy something to replace them for things such as litter box cleanings and school "disposable" bag requirements. It's funny that the state forgets the actual reuse things when deciding no one can get them anymore because some people don't re-use them. There are lots of events in life that "require" something that can be thrown away. The catch is doing your part not to waste if you don't have to.

Ehh, the amount of trash we find when out and about has gone down dramatically since the bag ban. The bottle deposit and bag charges really helps with reducing litter.

You can still buy bags to re-use. I still buy them for litter and other things, but mostly litter. Have you tried pizza boxes as cat litter liners? Slice the boxes to fit - since they're not recyclable if they've got oil on them.
