Looking for others like me that ordered FS on Dec 8/9 in Texas that haven't received VINs yet.

Its crazy to me that I'm in Austin ordered 9:30pm on Dec 8 and seeing people in different states that ordered 2 weeks later getting VINs.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

Did you order dual or tri-motor?

If it’s tri-motor than that is the reason why.

I’m a tri-motor first wave, live 1hr from the Texas gigafactory in San Antonio. No Vin assigned, my trade in offer expired and most likely my finance offer will also expire. Not surprised though given how the tri-motor production has been.

Same here. 12/8 placed at 9:47 central for AWD in Austin. No VIN. Hoping we start seeing movement soon with them not delaying to end of quarter due to close proximity to Giga TX. Even better if they just let us go to the factory for pickup.

Ordered AWD because I wanted ASAP and thought for sure I would have it in Dec based on proximity.

Would have ordered Cyberbeast if I thought it would be delayed to end of March. The original window when I ordered was Dec-Mar for AWD and "early 2024" for Cyberbeast. If I knew it would be just a month or 2 different I would have ordered the beast.

If I don't have a VIN by the middle of Feb, I may just inquire about changing to Cyberbeast.

I'm perplexed that Tesla is currently prioritizing out-of-state deliveries, but I was given a delivery timeframe of "Jan - Mar", so I have no basis of complaint.

Austin here as well. Ordered an hour after the email arrived so 11pm CST on December 8. I think what is happening, just like all Tesla rollouts, is they went in order of RN for CA/TX for the order invites starting December 8. then rolled out to FL Dec 15 then started expanding. But for actual deliveries/VINS it's a total mix of order time and destination. It would make sense that they wouldn't want just Austin filled with Cybertrucks for marketing purposes. If the service centers are trained and they have the logistics in place they will want to spread the trucks out as much as possible. Sucks for us in Austin as I bet a lot more employee deliveries here than anywhere else besides the bay.

I'm guessing they will make a batch for local delivery, and most of the Austin-area orders will be fulfilled at about the same time.

A small delay is fine, with every truck they build they get better at it!
