Defective Cup Holder Liner?

I only have 2.4K miles on my CB and noticed today that the lining of my cup holder is separating from the framing around it. Has anyone else experienced this? I shoved it back into place but I have a feeling that it’s just going to get worse from here.

Tesla should replace it, I haven't had any issues with them taking responsibility to address an issue.

It’s not defective. You can remove it and clean it and replace it. I removed mine and cut off all the exterior “fins” to make it less grippy(so I pull out styrofoam cups without them breaking) just tough to get back in. Realign.

It almost looked as though it was but I wasn’t brave enough to find out. Gonna have Tesla take a look in a couple weeks.

UPDATE: Though the service guy I spoke with said the cup holder insert is removable, they confirmed that mine was excessively loose. They ended up replacing it with a new one.

I ordered an aftermarket liner for the cupholder. It is a little snug but is easily removable to clean. I did not realize the OEM cupholder was removable.
