Delivery day tomorrow, payment question.

Super basic question regarding delivery day. Planning to pick up the truck tomorrow, Tesla asked for full amount wire transfer before delivery appointment. Wanted to make sure that is the process, I thought I will have a chance to check the truck before final payment.
what happens if I end up not taking delivery due to damage etc.?

Only did a bank transfer (plaid) once out of 8 Tesla purchases.
And regretted it
Other than that one time I always brought a cashiers check.

I wire transferred $50,000 to them before taking delivery of mine.

Cashier’s check made out to Tesla but only up to $50,000. I think a wire transfer required for more than that. It’s all in the instructions they give you.

You don’t need to prepay before delivery. Tesla’s instructions make it sound like you do. You absolutely get to inspect the truck before turning over a cashier's check. On my 4th Tesla. Good luck and enjoy your new truck!

Even though I was prepared to pay in cash, it was easier for me to just finance it through Tesla (or their 3rd party provider) and then just pay the loan balance within 30 days of picking it up. The financing was extremely simple.

Take a cashiers check with you and don't hand it over until you do a thorough inspection

No fees. I did have a few days of interest but it was still worth the simplicity and giving me a cushion
