I think one big consideration too is that people might have been counting on the $7500 EV tax credit in order to justify the purchase. Hopefully we get some definite answers on that, although it doesn't sound likely.my hypothesis #1: looks like they enabled nonFS for top 10% of the queue (first 200k reservations that are still active) .. it will be interesting to see the conversion rate this time around...
hypo #2: I think the FS conversion rate was really small like 2.5%-3% for the FS for the 2M reservation queue .. it is gross estimate and I look to others who may have better insight to help me refine the #s.. .I am fascinated with the way Tesla created the pipeline and executes sales for this extraordinary machine.
hypo#3: wait one more year and you can get a CT @ $60k used vs buying new $80k
