Had two police officers ask me how I liked it and if it were bullet proof…I said “yes, I love it and yes, it is mostly bullet proof but please don’t test it!”…also had a USMC gate guard offer to trade me all of his gear and everything he owns for my CT!

I had someone ask me if I upgraded to the bullet proof model. I explained why that wasn’t a thing, but he was convinced bullet proof glass was a factory option. He said “Joe Rogan said that.” ?

I’ve had mine a little over three weeks and have had all positive interactions for the most part. Only negative is when a guy followed me into my neighborhood and home so he could see it. I didn’t realize he followed me until I was getting out in my driveway. It was off putting but caught me off guard. I check now lol.

It’s cool to have people get excited to be able to see one in person and the looks on kids faces are priceless. I love sharing the experience with family and friends who get Cybertruck ownership by proxy lol. My friends 8 year old daughter wanted a picture so I had her sit in the drivers seat so when she showed her friends they knew she had access and didn’t just take it next to some random one. My friend then had his daughter take a picture of him in the drivers seat lol (I did let him drive, just hadn’t taken pictures).

I talked a guy from Idaho who was visiting family in California say that they don’t have any there yet (be aware future Idaho owners). I was picking up a pizza for the kids and he asked if I could give him a ride around the block ?. I politely declined. Luckily the pizza gave me a good excuse.

My neighbor’s sister and brother in law had seen plenty in their area but none up close. So when they visited and were talking about it, he told them, “I know a guy”. When my wife, son and I got home from getting froyo,
he came over and asked if they could see it. I really enjoy these types of experiences. I have great neighbors so I don’t mind sharing the experience with them. Took them for a ride and let them experience sport mode. They got a kick out of the experience and couldn’t stop saying thanks for everything.

I have a ton more but this has been long enough. Bottom line is be ready for attention whether you want it or not.

Today I pulled over in a park so that my gf could take a call, and I got out to stretch my legs. A pack of kids later ran over “OMG CYBERTRUCK!” unaware it was mine. The best quotes:

I think I have had enough. Today I started ignoring people that are driving or at red lights that yell and wave their arms and try and get me to roll down the window.

My CT has been in the service center for the past two weeks (Intermittent passive restraint alert). I've been driving a '22 MS loaner. No one pays any attention. I miss the interaction with folks. I'm retired so my new recreation is educating people about EVs and the CT in particular. Can't wait to get it back!

A cute older gentleman asked if he could take a picture to post on you know, that twitter X site.

LOTS of videos and pics while driving. A few how much did you pay for it? A couple of how’s the gas mileage. And a what all does it do? I told them everything but fly.

A very friendly older homeless guy in downtown Berkeley walked up to me after I parked and got out and said “I’ve been on this corner for 39 years and that is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!”. I said “thank you sir, you have a wonderful day”. He replied, “well I know you will! How could you not!!”

Also, driving by CALs campus the students were almost hoarding the street to take videos of it driving by…
