Having bought a foundation I can say this is a GOOD deal. If you can go schedule a test drive asap, and hopefully the staff can walk you through the differences. But all the cost cutting measures seem reasonable, although having a non-adjustable suspension seems like a BIG trade-off to me. But that's because I need clearance for a mountain road I drive frequently.

Foundation Series AWD owner here, and I agree with Ri22 above this is a smoking deal. The air suspension, rear screen, and interior outlets are nice…but not reasonable to expect in a $60K, 325 mile AWD EV that does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and has pretty much all the other features of a Cybertruck (no smugglers bay in the bed I guess but that’s really splitting hairs).

I love my CT. I think anyone who buys this model will too! Go for it!

I had the RWD model, which the dual motor is based on. The console material appears to be same except, it does not have screen in the back. It includes two USB C in the back, 1 USB C inside the console, it does not have a light inside the console.

Less outlets, no screen for back row, which I’ve looked at twice

Screen in the back is useless I feel unless it's a robotaxi

who wants to look way down there to watch a movie. Most people in the back will have a phone or tablet. It's a cool extra feature but not really needed.

No 120v inside is no big deal either I have used that once or twice. USB C is mostly what I need.

Only thing I feel would hurt a tiny bit would be not having the air suspension but it depends on what you were planning to do with the truck.

You're the exact person Tesla is marketing the basic AWD to. Perfect fit for ya!

Would be nice if Tesla only had a basic AWD then you could add options/packages but that would make it too simple for us consumers (and also keep people from overbuying is exactly why Tesla does it the way it is now).

I’m starting to see a lot of these options that aren’t included can be added, or at least some items that are important to me
L track
Premium tail light
Air suspension
Bed lights

Yeah in some way at least. Would be nice to check a box when ordering was all I'm saying. Aftermarket or self-install can be fine in some situations.
