$1300? Why not buy the material and cut by yourself?
I didn't even know you could do that.

But in my experience some of the cut techniques of kits help. Like for corners and stuff.

But yea I'm bout to buy a roll of I can find what I want. Only know of 1 site that sells to customers so far

I worked in the Large Format Graphics business until I retired, and when I saw how much Tesla was charging for the factory wraps, my reaction was "how long will they get away with that?!?" In the vehicle wrap world, the CyberTruck would be one of the easier jobs to do. Just for yucks, imagine doing a printed graphic wrap on a cement truck. That's about what Tesla is charging for the CT. In my experience, DYI would be crazy. The pro installers have the perfect environment, incredible expetise, excellent QC, and warrant their work. Plus, their pricing is competitive and fair, at least in large metro areas. After spending $80-120K on a vehicle, cheaping out on the wrap makes no sense. Thats probably why Tesla is charging so much. I wonder if anybody is actually ordering their wraps.
You'd be surprised how long the CT takes. Early reports are saying that a CT takes as long to color wrap PPF as a Model Y. It's because the panels are flatter and simpler, but larger. You have to make sure you don't let that huge piece of film touch itself.

And for anyone into Tinting the CT windshield is as harder than a Model X, which is known as one of, if not the, hardest windows to tint.

The CT is priced so much because you might need more than one roll of film to cover the whole vehicle. So that could be over $3k just in film costs, add to it a 4-5 day install in labor costs. (This is all PPF, not vinyl)

I wonder how many feet of vinyl do you need to wrap the Cybertruck. Do you think that a 5x59 foot roll would be enough?

CT wrap is much easier as it does not have curved shapes and check youtube videos, you don't need to spend hundreds extra for the "kit" and you might not even need a heat gun as well.

rvinyl.com sells Avery wraps, better than 3M. A 60"x25yd roll of Matte plus DIY tools/sprays is over 1200, so a pre-cut from tsportline.com for $1300 with DIY tools is a no-brainer for me.

The only question is, on a matte black wrap, which Foundation series logo, gloss white/black or Satin Black? I think I'd really like a satin or matte gray.
