I decided to take the plunge and DIY vinyl wrap my CT. I've always wanted to try this as I've done a few liquid wraps in the past and figured the CT would be easiest to learn on. Well, it definitely takes some finesse. Mistakes were made, but overall good learning experience and I'm pretty happy with the results.

How was removing the fenders and cameras? Did that affect anything when you placed them back on? Easy removal?

How long did it take you overall?
Probably around 17ish hours over the weekend. It was 100 degrees that weekend which absolutely slowed me down and I did the whole thing solo. I suspect with cooler weather and some newly attained skill I could cut the next one down to 10hrs or less, especially if I had help.

Super easy. Can be done in a few minutes with no issues on reinstall. The mirrors are especially easy.

Great work! I don't trust myself with this kind of DIY so really appreciate you've done. Look amazing too!
Yeah I've definitely got a mindset for trying things. Worst case scenario you decide it's too hard and scrap the whole project. You've not really lost anything except some vinyl. And if you aren't sure, order just enough to do a couple panels and practice, it's a bit more forgiving than I expected, but there is for sure some technique involved that is learned.

Depending on the vinyl, it's easier to release the entire liner, than doing sections at a time with the line still attached.

I believe you. And if I did it again I would probably take this approach. It's a little tricky doing it solo though, especially with big sheets. Very hard to remove the liner by yourself without putting crinkles in it. At least I haven't learned how to do it yet. But keeping the liner on and slowly exposing a little bit as I worked seemed to go pretty well so I stuck with it.

Hey everyone,

Your Cybertruck looks amazing!

Check out these DIY Fender Flare, bumpers and rocker panels kit that can easily be put on to protect & restyling the plastic panels of your Cybertruck

https://sliplo.shop/collections/tesla-cybertruck-accessories

These kits not only protect the plastic from those inevitable scratches but also enhance the look by giving the grayish plastic a richer, more intense black tone. It's an easy-to-apply solution that really transforms the appearance while adding a layer of protection.

If you’re interested in learning more or have any questions, feel free to ask! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

Great job, it looks smooth. I've seen a couple cars around that only have partial wraps because the diy process is so tedious, so congratulations on the tenacity to see it through.

Loved the color and the way you did... I'm interested in DIYing... Where did you get the Vinyl wrap from?

I ordered it online from Metro Styling. I know there are several Tesla accessory shops that offer pre-cut panels as well but they will run about double the price from just ordering the vinyl roll. I ordered a 75 foot roll and estimate I have around 20 feet or so left. I only scrapped one large panel during the process so not too much waste.
