When I use the mobile charger they seem to turn off. Do the outlets stay on when you use super charging? Is that how it works?

Yep, stay one with Supercharging, not AC charging, yet. Drew posted there would be an update to allow partial outlet power while AC charging.

With DC charging (Superchargers, CCS, etc) you can run the outlets while charging. With AC charging (Mobile charger, home charger, RV park, etc) you currently can NOT run the outlets while charging.

Rumors say they are working on an update to allow outlet use while AC charging.

Many regular battery generators are the same. If they are DC charging, you can continue to use AC. If AC charging, it won't work or it only uses the battery generator as a pass through. IF the battery generator has two separate AC inverters (or something like that) it's possible. For Tesla to pull it off with existing hardware, they may have the parts to do so or they have found a workaround to channel some AC power to the outlet.

I believe the Power Conversion System (PCS) has two or three converters. With pre-planning, one could be used to output AC from HVDC, and the rest HVDC from input AC.
