Double billing?

My wife is anti Tesla (I wonder why ) Anyway yesterday she told me all about this. Here's an article.

Last week, I tried to pay for two separate Chinese food orders. Bank blocked the card for the second payment. It was around $50. I am surprised there is no safeguards against a $40K booboo.

Another question comes to mind... How careful is someone who just pays the entire price of a car with a credit card/electronic bank draft?

The whole idea sounds 'not careful'.

My niece bought a M3 a few years ago almost now. when they made the deposit payment online it double billed. They had zero response from Tesla and ended up having to get Visa to do the refund.

As was said already, it starts a new customer relationship in a horrible way! They love the car but not Tesla.

This must be fixed Elon!! it is unacceptable that people can’t talk to anyone, almost ever. Service is important.

An important point -- so would you expand on it please?

If you finance a car or even create a bank draft for it, there's only the one check, and no way to get double billed.
