My rear center console had a creaking on the bottom every time I made a turn. It was maddening. Had it fixed last week this is what they did.

I've noticed a creaking noise from the rear when turning as well. Going to ride in the back seat and see if it is coming from the same spot.

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. Other that squeak, this thing is awesome! Can’t wait to do a quick fix myself.

I feared this would happen. Anything can make that middle console get out of alignment. Leaning on it, pushing on it, kids getting in and out. The body of the truck flexing…. It’s a bad design with it not being connected to the front dash area. It’s basically free floating in my opinion, plastic and not rock solid.

My foam has dampened it a bit you can still hear it sometimes. I feel like in the morning when the vehicle is “cold” it is not noticeable as much.

I got mine back from the service center yesterday and the creaking is gone. We'll see if it lasts.

"Squeak was coming from the lower rear trim on the center console assembly, beneath the rear touchscreen. Removed the rear trim piece and applied insulation to the component and its surrounding areas. Resecured the trim piece and performed a post repair validation."

Mine was at service all week for delivery day fixes.

They claimed they fixed the creak in the notes by taking off the panel and re-installing it. By the time I picked up the truck they told me the creak came back...they noticed it when pulling the truck around for pick up. They are ordering me a new panel for the back of the center console.

Went heavier with the foam when I got back home and that will have to hold me over until the next service visit.

BeleeEv is right there is a PTFE special lube they used on the 2016/17 MS seats. It was an annoying squeak, but one application of the lube and I was good to go for 2 more years the stuff is like magic. I wish I had a tube of it!
Is it really PTFE? Seems like a bit of silicon spray wiped on should be enough and far less toxic.

That's what they said but I could be remembering it wrong... Whatever it was,it was invisible, it worked perfectly and lasted for 3 years.

Any updates? I started hearing this crackling sound from the front seat/console and it is definitely plastic. I only get it while accelerating or decelerating. Those who had a service appointment, is the issue resolved?

Mine is going back in Friday for the second time. This time I’m making them keep it until it’s fixed. I was too nice last time.

Still no fix after the 2nd service appointment yesterday. They replaced the back panel and told me it was good. Left the service center and it was still there but now appears to be coming from the front panel of the middle console. It’s definitely the plastic being used.

If it wasn’t for a lunch appt I would have went back.

Headed back up there this morning.

I had the back console squeak and put the foam underneath and that has cured the issue for now.

I also have an intermittent light popping/snapping sound from the front of the console. I popped off the front console cover…everything was pretty well buttoned up in there but I added some electrical tape to anything I thought could make a noise. Unfortunately it didn’t work. Will have to try again next time someone can drive me around while I just stick my head in there and listen with the panel off. If anyone figures that one out let me know!

I have this creaking now, driving me nuts so going to try tomorrow to see if something stuffed in that area can help out as well
