Ahh the catch side, yea if that is loose it will definitely kick things to one side or another.I stopped by my local service shop this morning just to see if they could fix real quick. They were super accommodating and got their CT specialist to look at it real quick. He diagnosed the problem in less than five seconds. Apparently the hinge that latches to the physical door was loose. It was a super simple fix, which made me pissed that I couldn’t figure it out because I checked all the hinges and not the latch. Felt like an idiot! They fixed the driver side and made sure that all the other doors hinges were nice and tight.
I’ve had many different Tesla models throughout the years, and lots of service appointments here and there. This experience was by far the best by a large margin. The CT gives you first class service that is for sure! Plus, it was nice talking to the other Tesla owners in for service, who had lots of questions and wanted to take pictures. Happy to answer all the questions and hopefully give them a positive experience with the CT!
Here’s a pic of the latch I’m referring to.![]()
Thanks for the update!
