And it happened to be a 2026 Cyberbeast.

Driving it home was nerve wracking. This is my first exposure to an EV, steer by wire, rear steering, regenerative braking and no stalks. All of it combined with the long dash and unusual sight lines had me wondering if I had made a mistake ordering one. The truck felt super twichy and hard to place where I wanted to turn

I have it for 24 hours. I just finished my 3rd drive and just now have started to get acclimated and smoother driving it. I have a CDL and used to track sports cars so im not lacking in driving experience. The quick ratio steering threw me off the most.

I punched it a couple of times with the wife in the car and its way more power than I want to use. Its dead quite and feels very tight and luxurious. Its a beautiful machine. Iv been playing with the screen in the garage to get to know it so I have less of a learning curve when my AWD arrives.

Congrats. You can dial down the power by putting it in standard or chill mode. That will also change the sensitivity of the pedal. While you have the beast tho, try a launch mode, it’s even more insane than just flooring it. I’ve never driven a AWD, but I find after having my beast now 2+ years that I mostly had it in standard or chill and use FSD over 90% of the time.

I don't yet know how to put it in chill mode but modulating the power/gas pedal was no issue at all. I was just saying that when you do lay into it, its violent acceleration. More than i will need or use. Biggest challenge was steering and having all controls on a screen. My daughter says its like a spaceship and I tend to agree.

BTW, I've seen your posts before and I always mistakenly read your screen name as underboob lol

When you bring up the menus, I believe it’s “dynamic” across the top you will see chill, standard and beast. Chill and standard has medium ride height ( less bumpy of a ride then low or high) launch mode is down by putting truck in beast mode, fully stop press in break fully then the go pedal, the screen will change to a warp tunnel and the truck will adjust the suspension so it cheta stance for the launch. When you’re ready simply let off the break and zoom you go.

Be in a safe spot bc you’re gonna zoom.

The SbW Initially threw me for a loop, as I kept waaaaay oversteering. Now, in a mundane vehicle, it feels like I’m steering a ship lol.

The instant torque nearly caused a few rear-end collisions too. No throttle lag at all.

I hate driving anything else now.

Awesome experience, happy for you.

Chill mode is always safe when starting out.

Saves tires too.

The steer by wire and 4 wheels steering sold me. Once you get used to it, going back to without feels archaic and outdated. How I felt after demoing and getting back in my old truck.

When you have the power, you’ll find times when you ”need“ it. A lot of times when trying to merge, you get those assholes that try to close the gap and prevent you from zipper merging. And some will even slow down to try and keep you from getting behind you, but they cannot prevent you from getting 2 cars ahead with the power you possess now.

Also I felt the same way when driving home with my CB, almost hard to control steering was so sensitive, thought I might have made a mistake, keep it in beast mode and just learn it. Now when I drive anything else, it just feels archaic. Enjoy
