Wonder how possible it would be to say, enable extract mode on the front tires only and put the rear on entry to allow for easy unloading of bed materials?

rando thought!

I think you can do something like that in service mode. i saw a youtube vid from out of spec that he did that.

I think you can do it in the off-road mode settings, but I agree it should be easier to do.

I think that it should be called "Carolina Squat" mode or "California Lean" mode, ?

The "Carolina Squat" is a weird trend where truck owners modify the suspension of their vehicle, so the front is pointing towards the sky and the rear end is pointing downward.

I used to be able to deflate the rear suspension in service mode but after a recent SW update I was unable to again as the option was removed!

Just noticed the same in 2025.2.9, the entire suspension menu disappeared from service mode. In 2025.8.6 it is back so hopefully just a glitch. What version are you on where it doesn’t show up?

Tesla could make it with a button press but I suspect there’s not enough interest or resources to focus on it…yet.
oh and the force feedback to the steering wheel was requested by the community? No!

so bump this thread so the devs see it

As an 80 year old I was looking for a way to lower the bed to lift some heavier boxes into the truck.

Got a family member to help. If it were lower I could have done it.

Apparently the offset rear-squat, front-extract mode available in service settings is really stressful for the suspension. The one demo I’ve see of this was done by a guy who said he would never do it again. We have a lot of bushings and seals, CV joints and the like that would be beyond fully stressed/extended - probably not a good idea for regular use - even just applying Extract mode comes with warnings and won’t operate over 5 mph. I put mine in extract mode one time to take pictures - it was scary and I wont be doing it again unless actually needed.
