None of the changes really hurt the Roll Over Cab Camper. ROCC. In fact they made things easier.

1.) The 48vdc connection at the roof will allow for actuators to be installed for raising the hard lid, rolling forward and latching. Not to mention lighting. ( I struggled with manual operation trying to keep things simple, but powered will be more compact.)
2.) With some cooperation from Tesla these functions might even be added to the app for remote control operation.
3.) The ROCC is not affected by the range extender.
4.) I was planning on keeping the tonneau so that you could still secure items easily while you step away from camp, but it is bulky and takes up a lot of valuable volume. I would remove it and stuff that area with with a 48vdc battery pack. I am thinking 30 kWhrs could fit there. Depending on the connectivity to the main pack you could either supplement the main pack through the onboard charger for range or run the 48vdc power hungry devices, there by taking a load off the main pack. ( I wish Tesla would have a tonneau delete option)
5.) The ROCC is perfect for solar. 700-800 watts would easily fit up there and is available in all deployed options. Storing this power at 48 vdc is also pretty ideal. Absolute worst case you run a 120VAC inverter off your 48 vdc aux pack and then your mobile connector to your charge port. Not super efficient but you will always have the the ability to add range to the main pack in the outback.
6.) The removed sail storage was disappointing. I was planning to store some of the threaded rods and poles and bits that are required to make this work, but these could be integrated into the bottom of the hard shell making for faster deployment. It occurred to me that the main horizontal poles for the rear tent could extend from the upper hard shell.
7.) The lack of an operatable rear window is weird, but any attempt to run the HVAC through the window would have been clunky anyway. A heat pump that makes hot and cold water was already part of my plan. 48vdc for this is ideal. My heat pump concept swivels so that you can conserve or eject the hot or cold air from the tent space depending on the season.
8.) The underbed storage is bigger than I thought. This would be perfect for grey water storage.

At less than 600 lbs (minus any batteries) the ROCC is superior to all the proposed concepts IMHO. It sleeps 2 adults with lots of room for gear or possibly even 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small kids a little less comfortably. (the mattress is 10 feet long). You can stand up to get dressed. It will not affect range much and might even extend the range. It is designed as a semi permanent installation, but you could remove it in <10 minutes. The ROCC could be made in several colors which would help differentiate your CT in the parking lot. Imagine applying a $4000 wrap job to the price of the ROCC.

My provisional patent is expired, but I would love to collaborate and invest if someone wants to pursue this. Now that things are locked down, the final design could go fairly fast.

This is going to be really cool. I was hoping they were going to make good use of the sails also. I hope you will be able to somehow tap into the Extended Range Battery, but that’s probably going to be near impossible, but there are outlets int the bed… hope it goes well for you. Merry Christmas also.

I'm waiting to see what the Cyberlandr engineers have designed to adjust to the final bed size. The original concept design will not work.
