I thought this page was for discussions about Teslas. It gets really sad when religion and politics get involved on this forum. Get over it folks. Grow up. Didn't your folks teach you religion and politics are not for polite society.
The internet was invented so that we could impale each other over our religious and political views. Plus a little porn.

Ok mostly porn. But some of that other stuff too

I still regularly have onlookers fail to recognize the DeLorean ("Wow, you really got all the paint off your Fiero"), omg lol. So I expect that a majority of the public will "wtf!?" at my CyberTruck for years to come.

Besides, my CT is bulletproof, I'm just gonna give rednecks the finger and hope they only have guns and not large steel ball bearings

They won't need steel balls.

Have you seen the firepower they carry around on their bodies now a days when getting coffee at Starbucks or Black Rifle Coffee Company (or toilet paper at Walmart, etc) not counting what they might have back in their trucks ???? Cybertruck is not going to be enough protection!!!

I've been called a Redneck by bigots. They dislike my political beliefs, the fact that I am a hunter and a shooter and they resent my service in the Marine Corps ( albeit quietly nowadays).
I Don't GAF.
I guess I do identify more closely with beer drinking Rednecks ( although I prefer good wine) than burnt latte drinking pajama boys.

Much of this conversation has gone way far off-topic and should have been put in a separate thread.

As to the original subject, I believe the CT will be too intimidating for most conventional pickup owners to attempt bullying on the road. Also the stainless steel exoskeleton (and hopefully the armor-glass) will resist most attempts at minor vandalism (keying and such) in parking lots.
Very sensible answer.

The shipwrecks I dive are also in the same depth today as they were 30 years ago.
U believe what you want and i will believe my lying eyes.
30 years? Your eyes?

You don't know what you're talking about.
https://www.wired.com/story/climate-change-is-coming-for-underwater-archaeological-sites/

Geez. In thirty years the seas haven't risen much, no. About two and a half inches at most - tho some places will see massively more, of course - so why would your eyes have seen any?
https://skepticalscience.com/sea-level-rise-predictions.htm

You were the one who brought it up as a reason that someone might not buy a house atop a rock near the sea.

Crissa, I'm always one to see the positive side of things. Right or Wrong, you'll see your dream of an EV world. Whether that's saving the planet, or saving me money, it would lead to happiness for all. I'm not one that judges because others hold different beliefs, nor do I require they believe in mine to have value. Have a nice day :)

Just put a fake exhaust pipe on it and really confuse them.
Perfect! Picturing an 8" stack, pointing skyward, coming straight up of the truck's bed: Blowing, billowing tons of "Dry Ice" smoke heavily tinted with friendly black coloring :)

Answer this simple question.
Climate Change proponents scream the sea level is rising. Yet Obama, a "believer" in climate change bought a $12 million dollar home on the beach.
Why would he do that?
let's see....umm..... he won't be alive in 100 yrs when the beach is gone?

is that really your argument against climate change? people have houses on the beach?

How can one argue against climate change? To borrow from WIkipedia: "More rigorously, it [cimate] is the mean and variability of meteorological variables over a time spanning from months to millions of years." By its very definition it is variable. IOW it changes.

There is no question the earth has climate change. The Laurentide Ice Sheet had a mile deep ice where you live 20,000 years ago. The climate is always cycling and changing on earth. It is the political math and science used to transfer money into politicians pockets that many question..

The answer is - Because significant sea level rise isn't happening in the next few days or even in the next decade. The sea level is rising but incrementally and in the next 50 years it will be noticeable and catastrophic in some places. Climate Change is real and it's happening now. It is a threat to the future of civilization.

The only people it is a threat to are those who, with 100 years warning, are too dumb to get out of the way. Not to mention that 6" rise in the mean doesn't really seem like much of a threat. How much of the world is at less than 6" MSL? Tidal variations are more than that.
