When i did my model 3, they didnt start getting things moving until i did my financing. Had to run it again when the time came but its nbd

Get everything complete that you get the option to do.
If you don't get a vehicle until the financing or the loan dates expires, you will just have to get them refreshed.

When the VINs are assigned, I believe that they look for Ready before doing so.

Because Tesla just gets you approved for the loan. The loan specifications are limited to a timeframe and may have to be refreshed.

On delivery day, the loan is actually activated. With a Tesla loan it's completely handled for you. It's probably another company underwriting the loan, to Tesla requirements.

For those of you who had a trade in, how long did it take for Tesla to make an offer? I’m not gonna complete financing through my credit union until I know what the trade in offer is. Thanks.

I don't know, but it shouldn't really be an issue because you probably shouldn't refresh it until the VIN is assigned.

And I'm not sure how you even made the down payment. My loan has been approved and I don't seem to have any option to make one. Down Payment is usually made when you pick up the cat, AFAIK.

Ok thanks for sharing. I I ploaded mine on December 21st and didn’t know if the delay was just par for the course. Was the trade in offer reasonable? I’m looking forward to the December 8th orders getting VIN’s so at least we know more regular folks will be getting trucks soon.
