$400/six months when I got it in January. Geico just raised it to $450 with $500 deductible on a Pro in Maryland.

With front wheels that close to the bumper and giga cast probably damaged, if it is not totaled, it won't be cheap.

I don't think any vehicle survives the 35 frontal impact test not totalled.

to be fair, I was one of the first to receive a Lightning and so it may be that State Farm had not yet adjusted its underwriting with real data yet

they also haven’t adjusted me though

shouldn’t make much difference but I traded in an ICE Platinum with every option while my Lightning is a Lariat with original release pricing ($79K MSRP)

Probably 35 MPH if this is for NHTSA testing.

Between 30 MPH to 40 MPH if testing against what the IIHS tests for.

My understanding is these are the required test speeds for various front test types:

NHTSA Testing
Front Crash Tests - 35 mph

IIHS Testing
Front Overlap Tests - 40 mph
Full Width Frontal Test - 30 mph

So, it has to be NHTSA, I just remembered that the IIHS buys all vehicles

Anyone own a Ford lightning and can share their insurance policy numbers? Especially if they also own a F150/250 ice truck.

No Lightning, but my 2023 R1T is $650 / 6 months through my farm bureau agency. Includes whatever discounts I can qualify for (multi-vehicle, multi-policy, safe driver, etc.).

For comparison, our 2021 Model Y is $490 / 6 months on the same policy.

Agreed. In my old line of work we did "build up" testing, starting with benign levels and choosing points to match reality against the models as we stepped up the parameter's.

I agree. Had they made 88mph, the wall wouldn't have been in the way. it would have just been a bunch of dirt, water, and scrub. I doubt Marty would have had a nice large bill board to hide the truck behind, though.

I'm with USAA in WA state, oddly enough Rivian R1S is about $250/6 mo cheaper than 15 MS 70D. Not entirely sure why.

That's just nonsensical to me. I'm lucky that my agent is my brother and he definitely helps navigate nuances for me.
