It looks to me like we are being short changed on the Powershare voucher,
First there is the promise, “your order is eligible for free PowerShare hardware”
Then Tesla offers the hardware for sale. “Universal home charger and gateway $2,500”
Then the voucher, “An $1,800 credit added to your Tesla account “
It will cost $700 more to buy the necessary hardware then the credit offered. That’s not free.
Please correct me if I’m mistaken. Let me know if you agree.

In this case you may have also received unlimited free supercharging for six months with all-wheel-drive and one year for beast

In your app scroll down to specs and warranty and if you do have unlimited free supercharging for 6 months it will show up there

Hi, nope never got any supercharger time or notice of it. Anyhow, that wasn’t what was promised. Isn’t it kind of unethical to unilaterally change the terms of the offer. 700 isn’t much, but skimming it from every eligible foundation series truck adds up.

Unfortunately seems some owners weren’t notified they would receive the free supercharging. some just got lucky and noticed it in their app. I’m sure there are some that took delivery more than six months ago and never got to utilize it

There were 5 programs:

1. Free PS hardware + $4000 install credit (beast)

2. 6 months (12 for beast) unlimited free supercharging charging

3. Combo of free supercharging + $1800 voucher / shop credit

4. $2500 coupon voucher (one time use)

5. Final FS program: $2500 Tesla wallet credit - use at will

Hope this helps!

When did you take delivery? I can tell you which program you were in.

All the best -

That's a solid and detailed explanation. Good job, Guy!

The offer I received with my AWD was number 4. That deal's one-time use limitation and the too-often "out of stock" items makes it difficult to spend the credit on useful items other than the PowerShare equipment (gateway and wall charger). Folks with that deal who opted out of PowerShare altogether or used an alternate method of powering their house with the truck are likely to not fully enjoy the value of the $2,500 credit, unfortunately.

It looks as if the OP has offer 3. I hope he finds he has free supercharging and has the opportunity to use $700 worth of it. I think the six months limitation makes that iffy. Supercharger rates around my northeast Texas area are about 35 cents per kWh. At 400 wHs per mile (typical for me on the highway), I'd have to drive 5,000 supercharger-powered highway miles to realize that $700. That works out for someone who only charges using a supercharger and drives about a 1,000 or more mostly highway miles per month, but I don't think that would be typical for most owners.

I picked up the truck in February. I have never been to a supercharger. I do all my charging at home and have less than 2,500 miles on the truck.

I expected the necessary hardware to powershare my home, as part of the $20,000 foundation series package. I don’t agree to accept supercharging as a substitute. I opted out of Tesla’s arbitration program.

February?

That would mean your VIN is in the first 300 (Group 1)

Which would mean you received a survey for PowerShare . if you opted out or didn’t qualify then you should have received the full $2500 voucher ( check your email)

Additionally some of your very early deliveries recently received an *additional $1800 Tesla wallet credit. No clue why…

Sounds like you may be in this group.

I would check your email for the original coupon! You may be pleasantly surprised that you won’t need to exercise your arbitration opt out for those $700!

Anyone know how to contact Tesla regarding this to obtain the credits for the Tesla Shop?

I picked up my FS AWD in May, completed power share survey in April as well as spoke with the assigned installer. However the installer keeps adding additional hardware, now cost is close to 7K, and still no TBD install date. Mind you it has been 7 months since I have taken delivery. At that point I’m just throwing money away at something I really don’t need.

I contacted Tesla, only to be told to contact Qmerit, but since I was “assigned” this installer before the Qmerit took over the scheduling for PowerShare they cannot do anything for me.

Service center is no help either.

I would try to drop that installer and find one who knows how to work with Tesla to make the change and get the job done.

I used Smart Charge America and they did a fine job for me. They operate in your location, I think.

What a headache… Of course I would have liked a FS, but hearing all the horror stories of trying to get Powershare paid for/installed and having a trade-in available with FSD already, I don’t mind that I got a beast for the price of an AWD FS.

Hi, thanks for hanging in there. It seems that you are truly trying to help. I appreciate that and hope that perhaps I might be able to return the favor someday.

Yes, I did get the “additional $1,800” Email, and the $1,800 is in my Tesla wallet. But, it’s in addition to nothing. I never received any other compensation from Tesla. I did complete the survey and am eligible for power share. Like with the truck, I was an early adopter of solar and installed 33 Hyundai heavy industry, solar panels with Enphase inverters and combiner panels before Tesla was marketing their solar. As soon as Tesla made Power Wall’s available in my area of the country, I had them install four at my house. Unfortunately this system has a generation one gateway.. part of my decision to purchase a foundation series. Truck was the free upgrade to a generation three gateway which is necessary to take advantage of power share.

As a follow up, after preforming a search of email, I found a Tesla email from 3/18/2024 offering the missing $700 expiring 4/8/2025, instead of the PowerShare equipment. With the additional $1,800 provided 6/27/2024, which expires 6/30/2025. On 12/6/2024 an additional email stated any remaining credit will be forfeited 12/7/2025.

The code for the $700 voucher would not be accepted by the Tesla store. After several, emails, app messages, visit to Tesla store, I was able to reach phone support who told me a different voucher number than included in the email that worked.

do you know the number, or if it’s customer care, what option did you press?

I called customer care who eventually forwarded me to the Tesla show room. The only thing they can do for me is do an “internal message” and someone is supposed to message me though the app. To date have not received any messages.

The number I dialed was 877-798-3752. I’m unsure right now as to what option finally worked for me. I tried several before I eventually reached a person willing to help.
