I did get the light bar installed, along with the Cant rail recall, about a month ago.

The light bar came with service links to remove part of the weather trim, disconnect the main 48V power, and disconnect the pillar camera… none of which was necessary. Just remove the bottom cover to remove the one bolt, lift the bottom of the camera housing about 30 degrees, and reach behind it to insert the plug. Very easy. The service did leave a spray of something, maybe some type of activator, all over the windshield, which came off with pain lacquer thinner. The light bar was a pleasant surprise in that it seamlessly matches and extends the pattern of the main lights.

The problem was with the Cant rail replacement, both are absurdly misaligned. It’s been back to service without resolution, “ escalated” with the app’s support chat, and the new support link (https://echo.tesla.com/qs/H36CB8). All without any response.

2 things,

1. My neighbor received his lightbar and it blew off on the expressway on a very hot day - I suppose the double sided tape gave way. He was glad it broke off the way that it did because his electrical connections just separated and didn't tear the 48V wires out of the car.
2. I gave up waiting for my lightbar and purchased one.

IMHO my new one is much nicer. It bolts in and has a DRL for both night (matches my other led accents) and day.

Installed the T-sportline one here, pretty simple for sure. Maybe not the "prettiest" but def works great and is just fine for my needs when on our land.

I see the base of the bar on the edge of the windshield; is that portion also held by adhesive? I like how it shows.

I love the looks! Is it direct bolted on & plug & play? Any adhesive needed for the install? I wish there is a way to set it up so that I can vary the light output (0%-100%) like the factory lightbar. Did you noticed any increase in wind noise? Great set up 👍🏽

I may be in the minority, but I prefer the super stealth aesthetic and integration of the OE light bar MUCH more than other options, even if it's not as powerful. Hopefully mine doesn't blow off 😔

The OE lightbar is a flood light pattern (hence, less bright) vs most aftermarkets using spot light or flood/spot combo.
I live in the high desert (summer temp hovering 100° and I road trip to AZ every month (summer temp can exceed 115°). I also drive a lot on the interstate at speed of 85-110mph. So far, my OE lightbar has zero issue. I love the way I can control the light pattern (center flood, side ditch or both and light output (0z100%). No added wind noise noted unlike my aftermarket lightbar 🤓

No adhesive needed. That portion is a soft rubber and just sits on the glass. It doesn't move at all. The bolted down bar is very very ridged.

Yes its direct plug and play. No adessive needed.

There is absolutely no noise involved. It all goes through the car wash just fine.

Thanks.

Yep - everything is xkglow

One single app.
So did you modify one of those Chinese funk light logo panels or does xkglow have a version of it?and the DRL in the front?

I modified it with Xkglows fiber optic light strips.

It was very simple to do.
