I have had the Evolution charger for over a year and its great. I will confirm that I have charged my Model 3 and then charged my parents model Y. The charger is not tied to a particular vehicle.

Also when I get home I plug in and it wont charge until off-peak automatically.
I still have my Tesla wall charger for the rare occasion I need to charge before off-peak. The Evolution peak rate is crazy, never do that.

Its just a math problem, if you use more than $31/month worth of electricity then the program is worth it. I personally use over $100 worth power so its a great deal for me!

Finally another person with some real world experience. The Evolution program is excellent value.

I'm payng $70 a month as it is so it is definitly worth it . Only thing is I can't get past having to get locked into that POS J1772 for 10 years . Now that NACS is the standard I have been waiting for them to offer it but I guess they got some kind of deal on old chargers with useless connectors .

For the $38 version they will only install the outlet within 10' of the panel so they are charging you about $840 for that (over 10 years) so it may be worth it to you to get a quote from your own electriction and get a price to install it where you want then go for the $31 version.

This is what I did. The install is 1/2 of that.
