Front tow hook covers - options?

Hey all. Saw this thread and wanted to drop by here. I make tow hook covers for F-150’s (I’m a Lightning owner). I have made many for members on the f-150 Lightning forum, and recently opened an Etsy shop. I have nothing for you yet, but a request. I was contacted by a CT owner recently who asked about covers for his truck. I offered that I could design them up with some images and measurements. I haven’t heard back. I thought I’d reach out here to see if anyone would like to be helpful by getting me images and dimensions from your truck of the front tow hooks, since I do not have access to them. Then I can send you some prototypes to try out so we can make adjustments. Bonus points if you are in Florida or close. It seems like there might be some interest in this, and once designed, I should be able to do custom sets. If you’re interested in my work you can link to my Etsy through the link below.

I did a quick measurement give or take, so forgive me if they maybe off, feel free to double check me For the passenger side tow hook is pretty much the mirror image of the driver side. Hope someone can get these molded into silicone covers. I'd love some red or white ones.

Thank you for this! I got your message! I will take a look at refining my design. I sent a package out recently to an owner for testing based on dimensions she gave me. I’m hoping that it will only be minor adjustments. I’ll cross check against what I got from her, and see if that can help me dial it in. Here’s what went out for checking (prototypes).

The black piece is what I modeled off the dimensions I received. Then I printed up some snap on style and flex style tow hooks. The flex material is very similar to silicone, in that it is weather resistant, tough, but flexible. The snap ons require more precise dimensions to get right, but they are cool since I can add logos with multiple colors For example:

Anyone making tow hook covers yet for the CT? Always liked the look of accenting them on other trucks.

Otherwise, anyone know the best diy method / material?

Those tailored snap on solutions are very cool and look great.

Here's a $10 approach, and you'll have a lot of tape left over for other jobs!

I honestly did that for one of my older cars when I wanted to add some color trim that was removable, the only issue I had was it would fade gradually and or come off because of the Florida heat/humidity haha

Loving my new tow hook covers for Wraith. Black and blue go well together.

Paint em. $5.00 can of rustoleum, two plastic bags, 20 minute job.

Remove the plastic surrounds, tape around tow hooks, take a plastic bag and rip a hole in the center, tape bag around hook and spray away. I put three coats on mine and waited a 1/2 hour between each coat.

Thanks for all your help, Jeff! I wouldn’t have gotten it down without your and a couple other friendly owner’s help! Those instructions that come with your covers wouldn’t have been possible without Jeff writing them up and taking the images! I hope everyone that gets them loves the look they get! And if you want to paint your tow hooks or tape them, I’m not offended. I considered all options before deciding to design my own to make it easy to install and swap. Hopefully I’ll get the “Snap Style” developed soon so I can offer multicolor and logos soon! Anyway, thanks all!
