Hi all,

Newer owner here and probably doing something stupid.

I’m experiencing times were FSD is available when I drive somewhere I hop back in and it’s turned off and I have to go into park to reactivate it.

as an example:

This morning go to the gym and FSD was available (although I didn’t activate it). Used auto park at the gym. Come out and part of the way home decide I’ll useit and it’s not available. When I come to a stop sign I go in to park turn it back on and have to hit yes to agree I understand/agree to FSD, and now it’s available again.

this happens all the time and really forget (and done want to have) to check settings every time I drive.

any ideas what might help?

I've noticed the same thing happening. Not every time it's shut down but often. My 2025 AWD was delivered in mid-June 2025.

Are you both still running a .100 firmware?

Need more info from OP but there was a bug in Autopark that disabled FSD on the next drive. Something to do with an internal camera error. I think it's been fixed in the current release but haven't tested it enough to confirm it.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what firmware I have. Installed software is 2025.26.4 / 13.2.9. I have noticed that this does happen after Auto Parking. A couple of times I saw a quick appearance of a screen notification that a camera calibration (not requested) had been performed before having to reset FSD.

Interestingly I just entered a Service Request regarding this and got the response that this is "expected behavior". I've attached a file showing the screenshot of their response.

I have a 2023 Model Y LR and unless there has been a recent change to its software, I've not had to reset FSD each time after using Auto Park.

In my case it’s actually caused some unsafe situations where I pull out and “activate” FSD only to realize the car is not really steering because it’s in some gimpy autopilot mode. Then I have to figure out a place where it’s safe to put the car in park, open the menu and reactivate FSD and agree to the warning thing.
That’s complete bullshit

I agree! Have had to do the same thing. At least on the Cybertruck!

Also, I just traded my last FS for this truck and my first one did not do this even though my wife and I use auto park all the time. I frequently get annoyed with it and take over but I do try to use it. I also use FSD pretty much all the time.
If this is intended behavior, why only in this truck?

Mine did that when it was brand new a few times, but hasn’t done it since. 3k miles+
