FSD turns are getting wider and wider to a scary close to other cars

My Cybertruck FSD is still on 14.2.2.5 and over the past month, the turns have been getting wider and wider. To give a specific example, the road I turn on from my driveway is a major road with a turn lane. Today, I filmed the right turn and it went half way into the turn lane. Weeks ago, this did not happen, it turned into the correct lane without crossing the solid yellow line. Other right hand turns, I have been taking over because it is coming close and close to cars going the other way. No updates to software in the last month. This morning, I reset the camera calibration and drove manually until the blue circle around the steering wheel completed. The scary behavior remains the same.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I too am on 14.2.2.5. I do experience a bit of the right hand turn you're talking about. Actually, I see it happening more when it does left hand turns. It goes too close to the curb on the right (single lane) rather than the yellow lane markings. There's been times that I had to take over thinking it's not going to make it. Hopefully 14.3.x will solve this problem.

yes. It started a couple updates ago. Uturns started getting too wide. Also, the left front tire hit an island in the grocery store parking lot cause it turned too wide. I'm hoping it's better on 14.3.1 whenever I get that.

Ha! Mine will go over 3 lanes. So frustrating. Service center said they couldn’t replicate. BS. I keep scheduling and pushing out SC visit so as soon as 14.3.1 gets pushed out and is still there I will take in again. BTW loaner CT they gave me worked fine. I does seem as though hugging right side of lane on freeway has been resolved. See attached.

It's learning to drive more like a human, lol. I noticed mine doing this for the first time recently, it used to always (lawfully) pull into the nearest lane and then switch.

Over the last two days or so, I too have noticed the wide right turn thing. No FSD updates that were visible (still 14.2.2.5), but maybe they pushed a stealth update to the motion control layer or something. Very odd, as it's been driving really well for the last month or so.

On a short errand this morning, it twice turned wide, nearly into the opposing left turn lanes.

I guess this gives me some comfort that it isn’t a hardware issue. That said, I was an early adopter of FSD back on M3P, and a huge advocate. But now I am hesitant to use it (at least with my wife) because it is so frustrating and unpredictable. After my SC visit a day or two later, I got a software push (2026.2.9.3) which I haven’t seen much talk about. It did seem to fix my lang hugging right (on the fwy) issue. Need FSD 14.3. I hate driving these days.

Mine has been scarily perfect for the last 6,000 miles of FSD.... I almost don't want to be upgraded to the 14.3 branch its been so good for me. And this is in NJ... one of the more challenging states to drive in. I swear they give us all different versions as a test (call it the same version, but internally they know who got what). I don't understand how everyone's experience can be so much different on the same exact software and hardware.

Finding that this is only happening when pulling out of my driveway and the first turn after that. Then no more wide turns.

I voted no but I might have experienced this for the first time today. I’m unsure. My car was supposed to be making a left-hand turn and it started turning right at the intersection I immediately intervened thinking that there was something wrong with the map because I hadn’t paid close attention to which direction it was going to go but after I made the left-hand turn myself the map was accurate showing the route that we should be taking.

So, what I don’t know is if it was going to make an insanely wide left turn (to the point of turning right into the southbound lane at the intersection) only to whip back around to head north. If that’s what it was doing that’s absolutely unacceptable!

Seeing this feeding back makes me a little bit nervous. I guess I’ll have to keep a close eye on that.

I just got it overnight; need to go drive and play around with it. In my wifes Y 14.3.2 is amazing so anxious to see it in the CT. Only issue is it didn't address any of what I wanted them to address, ie, parking preferences.
