Just don't strand my ass in the sticks without any beer to drink is all I care about.
I've been very successful at avoiding getting stranded in the sticks without any beer to drink.

The solution is two-fold;

1) using your head to avoid getting stranded in the sticks, and

2) always bring more beer than you think you will need.

I learned the second lesson relatively early in life when we ran out of beer too soon on more than one occasion. We weren't even stranded, just a very inconvenient distance from re-stocking. It was after two or three of these unfortunate events that I had my "aha moment" that forever ended the running out of beer problem. It was when I realized I had never heard anyone say, "Dammit! We brought too much beer this time!" 😎

Since then I have returned with a lot of unopened beer but I have never regretted it!

Your missing the 3rd point. Only bring useful friends (must have recovery gear, must have more beer).

In my defense, it was my first time on the trail. Everyone was videoing me waiting for failure and I was also the drone pilot. ROFL
No defense necessary, we are all still learning. I am never sure I did it correctly until afterwards. But are you saying you were controlling the drone from the driver's seat? If so, props to the ending view where the truck just barely skimmed under the drone! That was a cool ending. It sounds like the guy I thought was the drone pilot was just taking photos, I assumed you didn't snake towards him because you wanted to give him more room. People on the side of the trail can have that effect.

I would also argue the 360 camera view is a lifesaver in the cybertruck. Its front view is terrible any time it is pointing up.
I use the camera views all the time, but I don't recall ever trying to use the 360 overhead view (or even noticing it). Another tip:

Create a separate driver profile for off-road use that has the seat up and forward with a straight back. You can also have mirror settings optimized for seeing the ground, rather than traffic. You will still use the camera views but "up and forward" driving position gives a much better view and you have better ergonomics on the steering wheel for resisting side-to-side forces.

The steer by wire/rear steer are also an initial challenge if you are used to traditional truck offroading. It also makes it deceivingly easy for a long heavy truck to make it up smaller trails.
There is a learning curve for the rear-steering, but even before I learned how to use it most effectively I felt like it was already a net benefit, right from my first drive off-road in a Cybertruck. It's all good.

With those monster tires it's going to be an electron sucking machine ⚡

YES! I wonder what the range will be… I would hate to get stuck in the outback. That was also before Tesla backstabbed cybertruck customers on the range extender.
Would love to see some software that will calculate a drop and range for various modifications… and/or off-road conditions.
Thought?

I may have been the driving and attempting to run the drone. TBF though it has impact sensing and so when I got close it made sure I wouldn't hit it (can't claim that skill, LoL).
That guy and many others I had never met before and wasn't trusting their ability to not get run over.

Valid, hadn't thought of making an off-road profile. I'll have to do that.

Awesome! Can’t wait to see the updates! Anything beyond 37’s will require major frame and body modification. Even 37’s will rub and try to tear off the bumper.

We also have a two and 4 inch lift kit in development now, probably available within a month.

And our armor package is coming along nicely. Rear bumper is done, front and rear motor plates along with battery plates in final approval process. I don’t know why we did front bumper last…

And our widebody sport truck fenders will look great on an off-road truck.

COOL! How do I get it done to my truck? Unfortunately, I can’t fabricate it myself anymore..

Thats a good idea but I don't know if we have enough cooperative data. I know some of the vendors on here have been tracking their parts data and working with their customers for data.
Might be able to work with that app people have been using for battery and range data.

I had a 2019 raptor that full off road build. I had over 100K into that truck plus the of the truck yes about 180K

I got my cyber beast last Friday, and already have plans to make it off-roading beast. I am working with the #1 offroad company in the world to make a full billet suspension. Uppers, lowers, spindle, tie rods, etc.... They will be scanning all the stock parts this week. Plan is a 3in lift and redesign some of the stock parts as they are not the best for off-roading. Will be working directly with fox shocks as well on this build. Plan is to run at min 38s as my raptor and hummer ran and 39s or 40s if possible. This will take some time but starting the thread and will post any updates along the way.

I am going with the experts that have won many baja races and work directly with ford on their raptors and broncos for professional off roading.

Stay Tuned!!!!

unplugged is the only company that I know of with plans on a suspension kit and they have no eta or when it will come out. I called them and they cant even tell me what are the 26 parts they are using. So I dont belive they really have anything coming out this year. They also have zero off road experience with tesla or any other car.

Most long travel kits for raptors are maybe 1" lift. Tig welded cro-mo steel plate lower arms and uprights with aluminum billet upper arms are what most kits are.

Have fun but....having built a bunch too. I'll just strap a buggy on the back and keep the CT a real life practical vehicle.
