I was flying from Boston to DC in 2016 while on holiday with some friends. I had accidentally packed my passport into my checked bag, but I figured that's okay it's just a domestic flight, i'll use my Australian drivers licence.
TSA dude was being a real dickhead and insisting that I needed a passport, I kept telling him no I don't. Then when his manager told him it was fine he accused me of having a fake drivers licence. (Which if you've seen an Australian licence is hilarious because they have countless security features all over them including literal holograms).
It was a genuinely unpleasant experience as compared to how nice they used to be in the 90s.
