Tesla's chief financial officer, Zachary Kirkhorn, has said that the company will eventually roll out auto insurance nationwide

https://www.insurtechinsights.com/tesla-insurance-plans-surge-into-three-new-states/#:~:text=Palo%20Alto%2C%20California%2Dbased%20Tesla,based%20on%20an%20individual's%20driving.
That article is over 3 years old. Kirkhorn isn't even at the company and they said at one of the earnings calls this year that expanding insurance has been a huge challenge.

GEICO - GO WOKE AND GO BROKE

Teslarati has an article out this morning that is reassuring. It says they reached out to GEICO and that the company is saying they will continue covering Cybertrucks. Here's a link:

MSN doesn't meet the standard I expect from a real news network (and they haven't for many years). When you listen to MSN, you get what you deserve, they have been one of the most biased news sources throwing shade on Tesla, SpaceX and Elon Musk for years.

Personally, I just boycott them, they are just for dummies (not calling you a dummy necessarily, because I don't know how much you trust MSN). If their story was correct, I doubt Geico would be denying it.

In any case, it baffles me why anyone would care what a private insurance company does. They have every right to give that business to other carriers. And it does seem like there is at least a regional manager or something within Geico who has it out for Tesla. But he/she will probably not have their job for long. Maybe they don't care because they got paid off enough to make it worth it. Their are billionaires out there that absolutely HATE the level of success Elon Musk has had, it makes them feel inadequate. They are willing to pay off people, using large sums of money, to try to hit Tesla where it hurts. In this case they probably want to hit Tesla at the transition from Cybertruck reservation sales to Cybertruck sales to the general public. If they can stop sales before most people figure out what a solid truck the Cybertruck is, they probably think they can hurt Tesla enough to make their short position pay off.

And even if it costs them more money than they make, the personal satisfaction of seeing the current MSN news headline probably makes them feel special or still relevant. It might be Bill Gates himself (or that Dowd dude), who knows? Because when you have more than a thousand million, and the money is coming in faster than you can spend it, it devalues the money.

But yeah, if Geico cancels you, just be glad there are plenty of non-corrupted insurance companies who want your money. Because that's the business they are in, putting a price on the risk. It has much more to do with the driver than the vehicle. And the Cybertruck is a particularly safe vehicle for a truck (regardless of the shade that has been thrown on them).

People need to be less gullible to fake narratives created to throw shade on Tesla and more pragmatic.
