It’s not something that really bothers me at the moment because the FSD is not yet available but I have been seeing a lot of ghost vehicles/pedestrians on my screen. I wonder if it’s just a software bug that others are experiencing or if it’s a hardware issue that I should get addressed. See video in my parking garage.

The machine 'sees' things out of the corner of its eyes - just like humans do - except it can't turn its head or reach out to discern if they're real or not.

It's just a pattern machine algorithm, just like how people see faces in the pattern of a NEMA 5-15 outlet.

The screen is not an accurate representation of what the car is seeing. They used to literally spin around and move through each other. It doesn't act based on those

I wouldn't call it a "bug", it's just that the camera based AI vision on the Cybertruck is still in it's infancy. As they train the model with more data, the accuracy will improve. I think it will happen quite rapidly. A bug is a programming error. SInce AI is not not "programmed", it's not a bug, it's just not very proficient.

It's improved, but I still get an occasional ghost on my Model 3, running Ver. 12, so I assume the same would be true of the Cybertruck, especially at this early stage of development.
