I purchased the Hansshow CCS charger for just a little over $100 and received it last night. I drove to an Electrify America charger capable of 350 to test it out.
Quick sidebar….non Tesla charging is still weak. The set of chargers closest to my house were either offline or temporarily limited to 150. Only two were operational. The set I went to only had three chargers and there was a line to use them.
Now for test results…it worked. I was at 63 percent when I started so it only charged around 100 kbut it connected easily and securely and communicated quickly.
I don’t know how it will hold up over the long term or how it will handle more current, but for a long distance road trip, it could come in handy.
it also comes in a very nice carrying case with sufficient padding.
The shipment from China came via Yun Express and the tracking was decent.
