Hansshow V2 to replace V1 (rear view mirror)

It’s a bummer all the YouTubers get all of this stuff free pedal it as “works” yet have no clue what they are doing to their cts. I’m talking about Rednav and all the others. They install every item they get and say it’s 10 out of 10 and then disappear. I knew the 2.5 camera would be the very first mod for my 26 beast but alas it’s broken and likely will always be. As a bonus I overhead the Tesla service advisor telling an owner of a 24 ct they would not service until they removed the mirror and wiring. Has anyone else been told this ?

SC was able to replace my cantrail with the mirror wiring on. I didn’t let them clean my front camera behind the mirror though as too much wiring is attached!

Yeah, it just adds another wrinkle - so appears it's up to service center but at the end of the day, with the it "breaks OEM" functionality (speaker) and if you want to daisy chain anythign from the harness it will not power on which is a non starter since I originally intended 1) Mirror and 2) secondary display/dash I'll have to pass. Products/reviews were hot a year to 15 months ago for 24 models - I expect if they were going to fix it would have been months ago and at this point unit sales have to have fallen off a cliff for such nich products for a nitch vehicle. ++ as this thread has proven there are lots of owners who are simply happy they achieved an install . No consideration if it actually works or harms the CT.

Hopefully you aren't lumping me in with those youtubers since my article blog tells the good and the bad and I go back and update articles as new information is discovered. Even though I did an install article on this item and I do like the mirror I have been very transparent with the issues that go along with it. I cannot speak for other Youatubers but please do consider subscribing to my blog and channel if you like the way I deliver the information. HTH!

SC cleaned my front glass for the FSD camera needing cleaned issue without having any problem with either my mirror wiring or my radar detector wiring which are both in the same area.

Anyone tested the tesery 3.0? Seems they are going backwards by making the front camera separate again - no idea why? I really don't want the jank of a separate front camera but if it does not break the CT then I might consider. Youtuber claims his a pillar speaker works in the comments but his install was probably the worst install I've seen of any CT install so I would not trust it unless someone here actually confirms.

Problem with Amazon - I dont see many if any ct accessories shipped by/sold by amazon. Most that I see are one or the other so returns are going to always be a Q.

I hear you , however, usually (my $.02), Amazon has always sided with me even though it's not sold and shipped by amazon. On a handful of occassions when I had a genuine issue (not a try and unhappy with purchase kind of thing), Amazon has always filed an A-to-Z claim on my behalf and the seller immediately approves return. Worst case, I pay some menial amount for return shipping which I will gladly take vs. filing a credit card dispute that lasted for 4 months with Tesery.com last time.

for sure. Few items - Evbase actually were not listed on AMZN - so had to buy direct and so far so good (EVbase sunshield and black out side window panels)- Actually I can't really say that. I have lots of large beige boxes in my garage that I won't open until the beast arrives so I expect whats in the box is what I ordered - thanfully that's in two days (only day in the past month it's supposed to rain) of course.
