This is what I am after. I didn't want to do the diy fix yet if there was an OEM fix.
Has anyone actually received this new aero appliqué to fix their leak . Local SC has no infor regarding this newly designed appliqué .

That's a good question. I have heard of no one. SC didn't even acknowledge it in my service ticket.

What is the verdict on this, I have seen threads, but I haven’t seen a Determinate answer.

After a heavy rain water gets into the bed, as you can see in the picture. I don’t see a lot of space on those slats as people have said. Is there a new version or seals that truly waterproof?

I picked my car up in June 2024, appreciate it

Just dropped mine off this morning to install additional slats to hide the first one that has small holes in it, I can let you know how it goes and if it helps. On a side note what bed mat do you have and do you like it? If you don't mind me asking does it fit good. Thanks

You'd have to specifically mention the new aero flap seal for the leak. The extra slat won't do it. I have crappy grey foam glued up for the aero flap seal on mine. That's where my problem is. I got the slat fix twice and now have an extra slat...lol. Show them the new aero flap posted in this chat and see what they say.

Tesla SC needs a code for this “new appliqué “ if there is no code they don’t know about it . I have tried. Just get the usual response .

There have been multiple threads on this really annoying problem . I still haven’t had anyone post if they have received this new appliqué . If someone has please let us know as they will have the code etc for fixing this problem .

I talked to my SC about this back in February or March. Showed him the pic of the new appliaue with the seal and he said he’d never heard of it and there’s nothing from Tesla.

No luck on the new seal, SC said they have not seen anything on that yet. They ran water over it for 15 minutes made sure what they called the "water management channel" is working and they said "with minimal leakage" and closed it out, the slat with the holes in it is a part of this water management channel I guess. So no fix at all.

Have a look at this:

I kind of followed what he did, basically just added some Home Depot weather stripping between the back of the top window and the Tonneau spacer/cover (not sure the correct name).

This pretty much solved the problem for me, a little water can still get in at the sides, but not too much.

I did this fix myself a few weeks after getting my truck. Completely solved the problem and easy to do yourself.

Hey everyone, OP here of the Tesla Cybertruck tonneau cover waterproof seal upgrade video.

Wanted to give everyone a quick update after making this video about 10 months ago. The seal is holding up amazing! Still no leaks or water of any kind in the bed of our truck after 10 months sweltering Florida heat, countless number of washes and even a few Hurricanes. I tried to make this DIY only repair as easy as possible, purposely selecting simple, long lasting items found at your local big box stores. There are many ways to achieve this same result using similar items of your choice. But this was the easiest way for me to explain how this can be done. I truly understand that not everyone will be willing to give this a try yourself, given our trucks are still under warranty. But as of now, this is our best shot an achieving waterproof. Tesla has really strict guidelines on parts and procedures used to standardize all repairs, and will generally not modify. If you’re still not confident on attempting this, look for a family member or friend thats good with DIY stuff that could assist. Just wanted to provide an update on the longevity of this fix.

Also, I still have not taken our truck in to get the extra slat installed. We are still missing the extra slat with the holes visibly exposed and have zero leak's in the bed. Hope this helps.
