Do you want to constantly speed around and launch for giggles and laughs? If so, Beast!
If you don't care to show off the 0-60mph 2.6s and deal with the repercussions of doing so (goodbye tires), then AWD.
I had the Plaid, I have been there and done that and after awhile for me I saw no point but again I experienced the sheer violence of the Plaid on a daily basis, it's out of my system so I'm no longer swayed by this incessant obsession on 0-60mph speeds.
The AWD is fast AF, again remember it's a big heavy truck! Everything else about it is what makes it incredible to me (steer-by-wire, rear wheel steering, adaptive air suspension and comfort).
See if you can test drive both, then you can be sure.
