High Cybertruck Data Usage?

I'm trying to understand how and why my Cybertruck uses so much data. I've never come close to using up the 1.28TB Data cap on my COX ISP plan. But since getting my truck in November, I've gone over 2 of the 3 billing cycles.

I looked at my Internet traffic and which client was using what over the last 30 days, and I was shocked to see 940GB of data usage from my CT. Does anyone know why? Is there a setting I should be unchecking?

In the screenshot, the spikes are from when there has been an update on the truck.

In comparison, here is the Data usage from my wife's Model 3 during the same time frame.

FSD data uploads
You can turn off data sharing in options.
Controls > Software > Data Sharing.

Unless it's a stuck download...

Software updates are HTTP downloads. Each one with FSD is 8-9 GB.

You mean Tesla software updates ? I imagine the updates are signed, but still that sounds like a security issue.

This is Normal every time you park and connects to WiFi it will upload gigabytes . i imagine is vehicle telemetry to help improve software updates and FSD

Is there any advice on which data upload to allow and which to decline? Maybe based on amount of data uploaded? Anyone with data from the specific toggles?

I like to contribute to Tesla learning from actual usage if the data consumption stays reasonable, so it doesn’t cost me extra.

You could disable the Data Sharing options to prevent it from uploading data. Try that for a month and see what your usage looks like.
