Hit a deer doing 55 mph in NC

Cybertruck TACC-Poor deer. Hwy 903 6 mi W of Halifax NC. I bet FSD would’ve reacted faster.

definitely. ive had fsd randomly brake and as im about to curse, a fox crosses the road.

Surprised high beams weren't on. Wonder if that would have helped. Looks awfully dark out there with no oncoming cars.

I hit a deer doing about 55-60 while towing a trailer (so couldn't use FSD) about a year ago. They were able to adjust the hood slightly but other than that I didn't need any replacement parts. There was a small scuff on the plastic bumper but I decided to live with it since it's hardly noticeable. Very impressive truck. If I was in my older gas truck it could have done a lot of damage. Felt bad for the deer but was glad my family was all safe and sound.

when the word 'suffered' was uttered I thought/expected the condition/picture of the Deer but oh! Dear it's the one that has no life, feeling & soul.

Check that driver side headlight and make sure it is still secure. Its held on by two plastic screw holes and a bracket in the back. The most frustrating thing about my deer hit.

The sprinters are the ones that suck, thats what happened to me too. FSD definitely would have slowed down but don't know if it would have stopped in time.
