It was a BLAST! Took a road trip on Saturday about 190 miles away and hit the dragstrip. It was not a favorite BIG BLOCK CHEVY, I was in the CT.

I haven't been drag racing in 30 years and that was in my Crown vic ex-postal inspectors car. That was slow...which might explain the USPS. j/k

I didn't know what to expect from the gasoline crowd. I was picturing pitchforks and torches but everyone loved the truck (everyone I talked to anyway..)
At the entry gate booth I told them I wanted to race bracket. Having not been in a race in a log time, things changed and they now call it gamblers race. So I end up in test and tune and I still got it three runs.

Anyone care to guess the times while I get picture of the time slips read? I was shocked and thrilled.

I cannot believe the MPH! like clock work, TWO 107.69 and 107.29!

I had a great time and might go one more time with other members of my family that have electric vehicle, Most are teslas but there is also a Rivian and a Mini copper EV!
It could be 6 of us but most likely 5. It should be a blast. I am going to look into going to Maple Grove in NJ which is about an hour closer. I will have a video link later on when I am able to upload them.

I was super thrilled to win the second race, since that a straight heads up race, no bracket, no redlights and it was a V8 S-10 pickup!

I won the last race because the guy redlit. So, he lost the race more then I won it.

But it was for bragging rights only, no money for winning this two races, it was just test and tune.
Here is the CT under the Lebanon Valley dragway car on a pole.

I remember in the 80s the grand nationals pulling 12+ seconds and that was amazing. Love seeing the monster CT doing the same.

Got the first video up. For some reason the truck did not record one run! It recorded the ride up, driving through the pits and the drive home...but not one single run. Anyone know why? I am new to teslas so i am lost.
It ran a 12.528 @107.69mph

I assume you mean Sentry/Teslacam. When enabled, the cameras are recording continuously on a loop BUT clips are only saved when there is an event of interest.

  • When parked, Sentry saves a clip if a person is detected within the truck's "personal space", or if the alarm is activated.
  • When driving, Teslacam saves a clip if a collision is detected, or if you honk your horn.
  • Anytime while recording, you can tap the Sentry icon to save a clip.

A "clip" is a 60-second segment, this is how the files are saved on the drive. A qualifying event saves the whole 60-second clip, so there will be some video from before and after.

There is also a "Recent" category, which saves up to the last hour I believe, so you can scroll back and review even if there were no events. I'm not sure if/how to save any of that as a clip, short of removing the USB drive.
